ROASTING

  • How often do you roast?

    We currently roast every Tuesday, with order cutoffs at Monday 5pm PT.

  • How long should I let my coffee rest before brewing?

    • For our Nova Series and fruit-forward line: These vary by coffee but typically need at least 4 weeks to open up and start offering the full flavor potential while some advanced process coffees may be ready at 2 weeks.
    • For our cocoa-forward line: we recommend at least 2 weeks of rest from roast date but ideally we still prefer 3-4 weeks plus of rest before brewing.

  • When are coffees stocked on shelves at the cafe?

    We stock the shelves right after roasting, which tends to mean all medium+dark roast beans on shelf late Monday afternoon and light roast coffees late Tuesday afternoon.

Orders

  • When can I expect my order?

    We aim to give you the freshest coffee possible, so we aim to deliver your order as soon as we can!

    LOCAL PICK-UP:

    Thursdays at 1412 Saratoga Ave San Jose, CA 95129 at the café

    SHIPPING:

    We ship orders on Wednesdays (unless there is a holiday). Orders (including subscriptions) are roasted and shipped based on when the order was placed (or billed).

    Tracking information will be emailed when your order is shipped (sometimes you might get an early email if your label was created, but we ship on Wednesdays!)

  • How do I pick up my order locally?

    You can pick up your order on Thursdays at the café following the roast day, based on the order cutoff. We’ll send a confirmation when your order is ready.

  • Do you ship?

    Yes! We can ship with USPS or UPS within the United States. We also offer shipping to Canada. Shipping is calculated based on your address and weight for orders below the free shipping cutoff, and FREE shipping for orders over cutoff. For orders in Canada, we deliver via DHL (for now), with shipping lead times possibly longer than 7 days. Refer to main page for the free shipping cutoff price.
