what we’re about
Moonwake Coffee Roasters is dedicated to producing specialty coffee that brings you a moment of calm, respite, and introspection from the world outside— in whatever circumstance life finds you. We meticulously curate and roast in small batches to present you with an enjoyable, captivating cup.
Our name “Moonwake” comes from the reflection of the moon on a body of water — a place where we can forget our troubles, even if only briefly.
our story
We started roasting in 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic as the culminating response to our passion for coffee and a desire to bring a small semblance of joy to those around us amid the uncertain times. What started out as a hobby has grown into a relentless pursuit — to further uncover the vastness that coffee has to offer, and share it with our community.
We’re based out of San Jose, California — we hope we can share our mission with you either locally in our community or beyond!
our approach
Our beans are sourced from all regions based on traceability to serve single origin roasts that demonstrate and celebrate the diversity and best expressions of coffee — whether it’s uniquely tea like and fruity all the way to richer dark chocolate.
All of our coffees are selected after extensive evaluation by our Q-Grader certified co-owner, Ming.
All roasting is done in small batches with intense care. Orders are roasted and shipped based on the closest upcoming roast date to produce the freshest quality possible.
