    • Ability to obtain California Food Handlers Certificate
    • Must be legally eligible to work in California
    • Ability to work minimum hours for: full time (32hrs/week) or part time (12hrs/week)
    • Prior barista experience or prior hospitality or retail service experience nice to have
    • Understand and explain key concepts of specialty coffee (e.g. coffee processing and varietals), coffee preparation (e.g. different brew methods), and the Moonwake coffee menu, vision, and mission thoroughly
    • Operate as front of house to greet customers, provide specific curated recommendations, receive and input customer orders, explain menu and answer questions
    • Demonstrate customer and teammate empathy, to proactively address others’ needs
    • Think two steps ahead to foresee and/or mitigate customer and team issues, needs, etc.
    • Prepare drinks accurately and efficiently according to recipe and process
    • Prepare espresso, pull shots, and steam milk
    • Carefully and precisely brew pour-over coffees, and present and explain coffees to the customer - demonstrating thorough understanding of coffee brewing, processing, and sensory attributes
    • Serve customer drinks to highest level of quality and hospitality
    • Maintain clean and organized workstation
