Since childhood, her parents instilled in her a love for the art of growing coffee. When she was given an opportunity to own a farm, she started with a plot of a completely unknown regional variety. Carmen put all her effort into producing the best coffee with the plot she was given and eventually went on to win the 2014 Cup of Excellence with the unknown variety.
