Oshi for April

$30.00

What is the Oshi? In Japanese, 'Oshi' (押し) means "to press", and this tool makes it simple to push your extraction to the next level. This tool allows you to press your filter papers to facilitate "no-bypass" style brewing and helping extraction. The holes on the bottom allows you to wet the filter from the top with a simple rinse with plain (not hot) water.

Now, 4 slots have been added to the wall to help wet the filter.

The April Oshi is specially designed as an accessory for the popular April dripper (not included), except for the latest ceramic version. In fact, the designer, Harry, our Coffee Innovation Director (@kimoi.coffee), believes this improves the performance. This is since the pressed filter is now sticking to the sidewalls of the drippers, it helps better suspend the bottom of the filter bed and prevent the bed from collapsing into the bottom of the dripper.

Order cutoffs and shipping follow our roast shipping schedule (check our homepage), limited quantities are released each week (usually Wednesday).

As these are 3D printed to order, minor cosmetic defects may happen but will not affect performance.

Tested April Compatibility (as of June 2024): Glass, Plastic, Old Porcelain (NOT new ceramic version), Glass(*Due to variability in glass forming, there is no guarantee in the fit. However the design does fit the glass drippers we have tested)
Materials: PLA
Directions for use: Use with cold or room temp water only. Never hot water. Wipe with damp towel before use.
Color: Black only
