ABOUT THIS COFFEE
This natural-processed coffee is an Ethiopian Landrace variety - specifically 74158. The coffee cherries are floated for quality control, and then dried slowly on raised beds for 20+ days.
We chose this coffee for its complexity of vibrant clean tropical flavors that come from precise and controlled natural processing. The resulting flavors of mango, sparkling green grape, and yellow dragonfruit make this coffee very enjoyable and exciting, especially given the fairly traditional / lower intervention processing method.
PRODUCER INFO
This coffee is produced by Nguisse Nare, from one of his three farms in the Sidama Bensa Kokose region of Ethiopia. He produces natural and anaerobic coffees using coffee cherries from his own farm, as well as from 60 of his neighbors.
Nguisse and his team have a strict focus on quality, collaborating with industry experts to ensure consistency and excellence. We were introduced to Nguisse Nare by the strong recommendations from our collaborators at Crop to Cup (shoutout to Christopher Feran and Danny Falloon), and our already high expectations have been exceeded. A testament to their dedication and expertise in producing exceptional coffees.
