Why we selected this coffee

We chose this coffee for its relatively low complexity, but with enough depth of flavor and complexity to stay engaging. Perfect by itself, or paired with milk, we use this on bar for espresso - but can also be enjoyed in all brew methods.

Producer Info

Milton is one of the five third generation Villatoros being groomed to oversee the family's network of small farms. Milton is enthusiastic and curious, implementing his father's high standards on the farm with a grace that shows his potential. Having overseen much of the El Milagro and El Crucero planting around the farm, he manage the naturals and an-aerobics. You'd probably find Milton monitoring cherry on the new raised African drying beds or implementing new fermentation techniques with his lots in Hoja Blanca.

In 2021, Milton inherited the El Pino lot from his father, Juan Villatoro, and has since dedicated himself to its transformation and improvement. Easily identifiable from the drying patios, El Pino is marked by a towering pine tree standing proudly at its heart.
"As children, my cousins and I would race to reach the pine first," Milton recounted. "Upon reaching it, we would all embrace the trunk, but even with our combined hands, we couldn't encircle its immense girth."
This lot holds profound sentimental value for Milton, fueling his unwavering commitment to its improvement.
